Benefits & Risks

Persons contemplating services should realize that they may make significant changes in their lives during the process. People often modify their emotions, attitudes, and behaviors. They may also make changes in their marriages or significant relationships, such as with parents, friends, children, relatives etc. While I will assist the client in effecting change, I cannot guarantee a specific outcome. Clients are ultimately responsible for their own growth and should understand that this is a process that can move very slowly or quickly depending on the issue and the effort put into the process.

Professional Services

(**Please see topics/issues covered in a previous blog**)

I am generally available for appointments on Monday and Wednesday between 10 a.m..-6:00 p.m.  When necessary, it is possible to arrange additional availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays as well as extended hours.  To do so, appointments will have to be made well enough in advance to make those times available.  Likewise, the client must be consistent (no cancellations or missed sessions) in meeting at extended times in order to reserve them.  You can reach me via text or phone call at (615) 516-3063 for questions or scheduling purposes.  You can also reach me via email at mabyrnes.mmft@yahoo.com.

Emergencies

I will accept emergency phone calls when possible during business hours.  However, it is important to understand that I will be unavailable at times when I am seeing clients or busy with other tasks.  Please be aware that you may obtain assistance during emergencies by calling the Crisis Help Line: 244-7444, the YW Domestic Violence Center:  242-1199, or by calling 911 or going to your local hospital emergency room.  All calls that last over 10 minutes will be billed the same as a clinical hour.  When possible, I am happy to fit you in for an emergency face-to-face session if I have the availability in my schedule that day.  I do not do sessions over the phone.

You may obtain assistance by calling:
The Crisis Help Line: (615) 244-7444
The YW Domestic Violence Center:  (615) 242-1199
or by calling 911 or going to your local hospital emergency room

Sliding Scale Fee Structure

I currently accept cash payments only.  I will accept checks in some circumstances.  However, please come to your appointment prepared with a cash payment.  I hope to eventually offer a debit/credit option in the future.  I am currently unable to accept or bill insurance.

The fee for all types of counseling services is $85 per clinical hour (45-50 mins.).  I also have a sliding scale fee for which you can apply if your combined household gross income is under $70,000 per year.  Prices range from the highest fee of $85 to the lowest fee of $35.  Feel free to contact me for specific prices per income level.

In order to apply, I will need a copy of your most recent W2 and 2 recent pay stubs to verify your income (and your spouse’s or partner’s if applicable).  Once I receive the full application, I will be able to grant your sliding scale fee.
